She is AWESOME! She knows a ton about whitewater, the local flora and fauna, history of the river, interesting sites along the way, (and Tolkien)! She shared her knowledge, gave great feedback, and made the entire trip amazing. What really made this trip incredible was our amazing guide, Amparo 'AJ'. After getting geared up and going through a safety briefing, we split into our boats, meet our guides and hit the river. The bus ride up to the put-in site wasn't bad at all (one of the guides provided comic relief and commentary along the way). The morning of, the staff was very friendly and let us know what to expect. Prior to the excursion, Cascade kept in touch through frequent emails letting us know what to expect and how to prepare.
Our family has been floating the Main Payette with friends for years, but this was our first experience using a guide or doing the South Fork, and it could not have been a better experience.
